I purchased this cord to replace the short cord that comes on a new phone.I have owned it only two months, but so far, no problem with it.Satisfied.

I have a wall phone in my laundry room and did not like having to stay within 2 feet of the phone in order to use it.I also did not want to spend much to put a longer handset cord on there, either, especially since it is in the laundry room.When I found this one for a few pennies over three bucks and free shipping (prime), I had to go for it.Although another reviewer said it was not a good quality cord, I did not find that to be true.It is serving its intended purpose and doing so quite well. ... I got so sick of those expensive cordless phones needing equally expensive batteries every two years or so, so I got rid of all the cordless phones in the house and replaced them with corded phones.Yes, they still make corded phones with caller id and answering machines included.Still, I needed to attach 25 foot cords to the phone, and now I have mobility as well.
