Update your kitchen with this handsome nine-piece cookware set from Calphalon. The charcoal-gray matte finish of the Commercial Hard-Anodized series not only looks sophisticated but is impressive in performance: it sears meats over medium heat, cooks evenly, and stays stick-resistant without having a nonstick finish that can eventually peel. Moreover, hard-anodized pots and pans are safe to use with metal utensils and under the broiler. Riveted on for strength, the stainless-steel Cool V handles stay cool during stovetop cooking and are oven-safe, as are the lids.

Covering all the basics, this set consists of a 2-1/2-quart covered shallow saucepan; 8-, 10-, and 12-inch open skillets; and 3- and 7-quart covered chef's casseroles. The lid on the larger casserole is domed to send moisture and flavors back into the pot for succulent meat dishes. You'll find low to medium heat is the best temperature range for this fast-heating cookware. After use, wash by hand. - Beautiful but impossible
We received this set as a wedding gift and I was thrilled! The pans are heavy, well made, and cook evenly. But everything sticks! Even bacon. I tried all types of oil but all food stuck to the pan and left stains even after washing. These had to go back.

These are great pans for the price, but then again I am partial to the hard-anodized type surface finish, as opposed to non-stick or polished stainless.The heat control is excellent when used with a gas burner.If you have a pot of water on to boil, and you turn the heat from high to low, the pan cools down very quickly.Same goes for heating them up.I believe this kind of cookware finish is misunderstood by many home cooks, since it does take a little know-how to get the results you want. ... - Calphalon a disapointment
I purchased this set in December for a gift. It was at a bargain price, but has turned out not to be a bargain. After only six months of use (the reputation of this maker is that it is of lasting quality), the pans are sticking to everything...and the recipient cannot figure out why.The Amazon replacement warranty has expired, and the manufacturer has thus far refused its return.
My advise: buy a triple clad stainless set like the Chef Emerol sells ( i have his stuff and it is wonderful).

- Great Pans - Great price!
Not dishwasher safe - my husband made the mistake of putting one of the lids in the dishwasher. Their biggest flaw are the handles. They are very skinny which makes it very difficult for handling! But for the price, definitely worth it. Other than those things it's a GREAT set!

- Disappointing - Tried everything and everything sticks!
I purchased my Calphalon piece at a low price and was extremely excited!So disappointing.Their stick resistant technology is a joke!Everything sticks to this pan - foods that don't stick to regular pans -- stick to this one.This was a huge disappointment -- please don't make the same mistake.
PS I had Circulon for years and had good luck.
