Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Game play better than realism
While new to gaming, I am not new to history.I became hooked after buying and playing COD: Modern Warfare. It was natural for me to move on to World at War as I am huge WWII history buff. While there are many of the same flaws between these two games, I really did enjoy the game play.Sadly, I was forced to shut my brain off to obvious historical flaws...

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Best Game That Has Ever Been Produced
Ok to start off. Let me get something strait. This was not developed by Infinity Ward. But by Treyarch. And thats a good thing. Because IW (Infinity Ward) does a good job, but not good enough. NOTICE: the game physics are the same as COD 4. Thats because IW came up with some pretty good stuff. Like the health system, (thats like real life) and aiming down sight. But treyarch has so much more skill. Because they take what IW has thought of, and make it 10 times better. Like for instance, COD 4 had a ... Read More

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Great
I have not played the game myself but my boyfriend and my brother have not stopped playing it since it came in, so I guess it is a very good game.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - a fun and fast-moving game
I bought "Call of Duty: World at War", which is about World War II. I am a new gamer, havihg gotten my first video game player in the summer of 2009 (an XBOX 360). This game is fun, fast-moving, anc colorful. For a novice like me, it lets me progress, move on without getting trapped or stuck at any level. Yes, it is a point and shoot experience and not the role-playing experience. But when you need point and shoot, this fits the mood. Role playing games (like Mass Effect 2, Dragon Age Origins, Assassiins ... Read More
