Without this the netcast and vudu and all other internet options will not work unless you hard wire it to the tvLG tv that is
my lcd tv gets a lot of use and this wireless usb is GREAT

I connected it with LG42LD550, and it simply can NOT connect with my wireless router. Even after I entered everything manually, like IP address, Subnet mask, gateway etc, it still can not connect. Total waste of time.

Purchased this wifi adapter for LG 42LD550 42-Inch 1080p 120 Hz LCD HDTV. Basically its plug and play. I connected it right out of the box. It immediately auto detected and actually connected to my neighbors unsecured router. I simply entered the menu, specified my local network, added the key and was on netflix in seconds. Now it auto updates firmware and provides easy access to netcast features. Nice product.
