- Should've bought this in the first place
This was an outstanding product. I really could not be happier. I really wish I bought this before any of my other Ipad cases. It perfectly suits the ipad, it looks classy and perfect for me (a college student). The feel and the quality of the materials is head and shoulders above anything else for the price. I love that it has an adjustable stand with 4 positions. I would highly highly recommend this to anybody who is looking for a case for their ipad. Don't waste your time with the apple case.

- "Real" version is great. Beware apparent knockoffs.
First off, having now perused the reviews for this item, I note a huge discrepency between the postive and negative reviews. Those that received the "smelly plastic" version, which comments here indicate are a cheap "knockoff," are understandably displeased. These apparently smell bad, fall apart, don't stand up properly in the low-angle typing position, and may have some kind of unpleasant plastic snap closure instead of the "leather" tab on the better version. - good value, but big
I am happy with my new case - looks good, protects well -, but:
- it is called "leather" when it is synthetic (other have pointed this out)
- it makes the iPad much fatter (because of the "bumps" used for angle adjustment)
- even with the fat bumps the lowest angle setting (for typing) tends to "slip"; when typing I tend to stick something underneath to angle the iPad rather than use the lowest setting.

I can recommend it if you can live with those shortcomings

I purchased this case about 3 months ago and it works great for everyday use.The strap makes is great to carry it around instead of holding it like a book all the time.Only down fall is you it is not great for vertical standalone viewing but you just hold Ipad instead no big deal.The horizontal prop-up is very easy to use and build right into the case.

I received this yesterday, after several days of no protection for my iPAD.The iPAD fit snugly in the case and the stand adjusts to several positions, or you can hold it like reading a book.It appears to be well-made, though I've only had it one day.This is a very cost-effective solution, much cheaper than the case from Best Buy or Apple.
