Cuisinart Multiclad Pro Stainless 5-1/2-Quart Casserole with Cover
Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Wonderful to use and easily cleaned without excessive scrubbing!
I actually love this cookware and have multiple pieces by this company. They are correct that if you need to clean heavily cooked on items off that a little soap and water and then boiling on the stove top will loosen the particles very easily.I have never had to scrub anything off!I like this so much better than the teflon or other coated pans due to the safety concerns of particles in the coated cookware!I have recently also purchased a stainless steel griddle by another company and it too works great!Oh, and by the way, you really don't have to use high heat due to the multiple layers transmitting the heat more efficiently as described.I haven't used any higher than medium heat for anything!

I bought this pan through the Gourmet Kitchen Gallery, an outside seller linked to Amazon. What I received was a total dud.Cusinart, had assembled a pan, starting with a Saute' Pan base (that product # was stamped on the pan bottom,) instead of the proper Casserole Pan bottom. Then, they put the proper Cass. Pan handle on the improper base. The lid did not fit at all tightly, being too small for the pan, it just slid around and would not have held any moisture during cooking. The Saute' base is 3.5qt, and the Casserole is 3 qt., so the lid problem is probably due to that. The pan also had a deep knick onthe rim of the pan.I wrote to both Cusinart and the GKG, Cusinart didn't answer, and I finally got a refund from GKG after allot of email gripes. The problem obviously started with Cusinart, and the questions are: does Cusinart knowingly sell factory defects (2nd's) to sellers, and does the seller knowingly do the same with Amazon buyers.Ask questions before you buy outside of Amazon, through their links.Amazon will at least give you immediate refunding and return shipping, without hassle.Though that takes a couple of weeks to get the charge-back completed (I returned a Hamilton Beach pan.)The actual materials used in the pan construction, seems quite nice, but after all of the above hassle, I bought two Calphalon pans.they arrive tomorrow, and we'll see about the quality control on discounted pans.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Cooks great but doesn't clean up
This is one of my go-to pans. It's a very convenient size and shape, and conducts heat really well.Unfortunately, it scorches easily from oil splatters and it's not easy to get it clean. If I want to take the time to use special products and really scrub, I can get it presentable.I don't have the time for all that, so my pan looks well-loved.

My husband wanted to get away from the non-stick coated cookware because it ends up in your food over time and use.I'm glad he purchased the stainless pro set by Cuisinart for me.It does a great job in cooking food. You do have to adjust your heat settings down a bit if your used to cooking with non-stick cookware. As for food sticking, soak the cookware in water.I have not had a problem with this high quality product.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Solid Pan
What does one do when they want All-Clad but lack All-Clad money? Well, I would recommend one purchase this pan (on sale). Pan feels very solid and has some weight to it. Cooking performance has been superb. EXTREMELY easy to clean. Some people may have reservations that the lid isn't glass; however, this isn't an issue with me. I suppose my only complaint would be the rivets. Most lower end consumer cookware has rivets; therefore, I did not rate the product down due to their inclusion.
